  • The Airport CDM Task Force 8 draft minutes. The meeting was held in Brussels on 21-22 April 2004.

 
  • 15 April - Brussels Airport
    The AIC (Aeronautical Information Circular) n° 08/2004 cancels and replaces AIC n° 03/2004 about the TOBT procedure.
    Minor changes were made in paragraphs 3.1, 4.3 and 4.4 (called 4.5 before) as well as in the annex.

  • PRESS RELEASE - 15 October 2003

    Collaborative Decision-Making pilot study starts at Heathrow Airport Brussels, Belgium - EUROCONTROL, together with BAA, National Air Traffic Services (NATS) and members of the airline community, have launched an Airport Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) pilot study at Heathrow Airport.

    This pilot study is led by the BAA and fully supported by both the National Air Traffic Services and the Airlines. Support will be provided by EUROCONTROL, using the extensive knowledge gained from earlier trials and development work. Click to download the press release file.

  • This issue is Airport Data related. New documents are about data availability and data requirements aiming at improved airport operations.
    This AMAN-DMAN paper analyses necessary/available data for AMAN-DMAN applications. The document shows well which data is available where and who would need the data (data not only AMAN-DMAN related).
    This ppt-presentation shows a possible way for acquisition and use of data amongst all players within an airport and concerning ATFM.

  • Various new presentations on current projects (CAIA, CDM Barcelona, CDM Brussels) are now available in Projects
 
  • The CDM Barcelona and CDM Brussels projects both brought out detailed intermediate/final reports, see in the Library.
 
  • Two new CDM projects have been kicked off. They focus on Helsinki Vantaa airport, respectively on Stockholm Arlanda airport, see more details in Projects.

  • The recent ATM2001 seminar in Santa Fe included several papers addressing CDM topics. Links are available through the Library.
 
  • A description of the AIDA project, which is developing a Collaborative Departure Management tool, has been added to the Projects page, "Other Projects" section.

  • We have updated our links to CFMU Flight Planning tools on the Web, adding several new ones. As well as ANMs, AIMs and CRAMs, we now have links to the RAD, CFMU Flight Plan Tracking, the Flight Plan Validation System, and advance notice of EUR RVSM entry/exit points. See the Flight Planning page in Live Data Sources section of the Portal.
 
  • Projects page now includes a summary of the recent ATFM Priorities Validation study (sponsored by the European Commission), and the Final Report is available through the Library.

  • An excellent presentation explaining the CDM pre-departure process developed by the Barcelona CDM Project is now available in Projects.
 
  • The European Commission's LEONARDO project, concerning the integration of Airport Traffic Planning and Management Systems, kicks off on 7th November 2001. See the European Commission section of the Projects page

  • The Final Report of the Air CDM Demonstrator Project is now available through the European Commission section of the Library, while on the Projects page you can view a project presentation.
 
  • The EUROCONTROL/FAA Technical Interchange Meeting on CDM applications in ATFM is currently still scheduled to be held on 30 October to 1 November 2001 in the area of Washington DC, USA, but this is under review. See Forthcoming Events.

  • EUROCONTROL’s Report of the Ad-Hoc Expert Group on CDM (published 1999) is now available through the EUROCONTROL section of the Library
 
  • The organization of the site has been simplified this month, following through the moves that we started in October 2000 (see below). As you will see from the site map, we now have 3 distinct sections:
    • Live data sources for CDM is the portal for operational information, including the interactive map.
    • 'What is CDM? gives an introduction to the concept, scenarios and examples of its implementation.
    • The CDM Programme button provides information about CDM initiatives and projects in Europe. The old Resources link is gone from here; that section is instead accessed directly from the homepage through the Live data sources for CDM button.

  • The projects section of this site has been updated with details of the program of CDM work at the EUROCONTROL Experimental Center, including projects with Barcelona and Brussels airports.

  • The US CDM Site has a new look (since December). Take a look at their analysis section to see the benefits the US CDM program has delivered.

  • Interactive Map - A new interface for European live data sources. Use the Euro-CDM clickable map to select real time arrivals/departures and meteo information for a European country.
 
  • Scenarios - new 'In-Flight Traffic Management' Powerpoint presentation added.
    (Netscape users can also now access 5 other presentations that were previously omitted from our Netscape version - sorry !)

  • New layout for CDM Portal.
    Many of you have commented that you would like the links to operational information to be more prominent. We have begun a series of developments to achieve this. As a first step, the site has now been reorganized as follows:
    • The homepage now provides the operational information under the title 'Live data sources for CDM'.
    • Description of the CDM concept, and examples of its implementation can be found under the 'What is CDM ?' button.
    • The 'CDM Program' button currently links to the site as it was. In future this will be updated to provide direct access to information about CDM initiatives and projects in Europe.
 
  • EUROCONTROL Airport Operations Team (AOT) to develop Information Exchange and Integrated Capacity Management at Airports - read the working paper
 
  • NATS demonstrates Flight Path UK at Farnborough - real-time display and flight tracking for aircraft in UK airspace. Download the demo
