EUROCONTROL with its responsibility to ensure the harmonisation and standardisation of projects initially produced an Airport CDM Implementation Manual. However, as the Airport CDM concept has matured with publication of guidance material and valuable lessons learned, a revised and updated version on the Airport CDM Implementation Manual has been published.

The Implementation Manual guides the user, decision makers as well as technical and operational experts, through all the steps required for successful implementation and operation. Guidance is given from the time a management decision has been taken to organise an Airport CDM project through to implementation. It serves as a reminder of the special project management requirements and provides helpful guidance in avoiding pitfalls. The measurement of success and planning for operational use are included as basis for analysis and evaluation after implementation.

It is derived from the Airport CDM Operational Concept Document and forms the basis for the Airport CDM FRD and EUROCAE interfacing documentation.
